Totally weird, but I say this with a smile!😁

A Drizzle of Zombies by Joshua Price is a book I won from Amazon giveaways. This is as the title describes, absurd, but totally in a fun way! It is so cleverly goofy that some too moaned but most of the time I smiled or giggled at the witty silliness! It really is a hoot! Captain Rescue, Dr. Malevolent, zombies, Bigfoot, aliens, and other special guests that are not named but you will know who they are by the clever descriptions. I may have enjoyed it more because I was tired and the glass of wine didn't help....just kidding! It is absurd but sometimes I need to let that happen! Lol! ( )

This book is absolutely hilarious and a welcome twist on what is quickly becoming a done-to-death genre.
The next time you're in the mood for a laugh out loud journey into the goofy side of The Walking Dead then, by all means, give this book a try.
I think you'll like it !!! ( )

The story starts out with Dr. Malevolent robbing a bank. The evil genius has though this through and with some bumbling idiot lackeys has robbed the bank. But then Captain Rescue steps up and tries to stop her, mind you Captain Rescue is another bumbling idiot that wins through dumb luck. There are no skills, just expensive gadgets.

But the lackeys have discovered a strange green goo from the robbery. What they don’t know is that it makes zombies and these two are the first ones. The zombies multiply like rabbits and it is up to Captain Rescue and Dr. Malevolent to save the world. Ok, that’s a lie, Dr. Malevolent to save the world and try to keep Captain Rescue from becoming a zombie or worse.

This story is funnier than hell. The villain is the smart one that saves the day and learns that she likes doing so. The hero is an idiot and it’s impressive that he hasn’t killed himself. But the best part is the big pink bunny.

This is a great humor story. You will be laughing all the way through it. I can’t wait to read others stories from Joshua Price.

I received this book for free from the Library Thing Early Reader Program. ( )

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ever came across one of those books that you find yourself laughing out loud while you read - this is one of those books. I loved the authors style of writing. From the first page to the last this book with have you laughing and not wanting the laughs to end. ( )

The “hero” of the book is Captain Rescue. He is a superhero. More precisely, he is an incompetent superhero lacking any super powers but has all the cool gadgets that money can buy. Captain Rescue “saves” the day by pure luck rather than any skill. His archenemy is Dr. Malevolent and her crew of brainless lackeys. She thinks things out and makes good plans – she is a much better at being evil than Captain Rescue is at saving the day. The fact that Captain manages to foil her plans is quite frustrating as he truly is clueless.

Yet, the two must join forces to stop a zombie invasion. After a bank theft by Dr. Malevolent, two of her lackeys find a green liquid in one of the safety deposit boxes. Being clueless the two decide to drink it. Unfortunately this serum creates zombies. So these two zombies end up infecting the jail and police station. Captain Rescue, Dr Malevolent, a talking zombie, a big blue bunny and a shotgun carrying cop called Freight (who now seems invincible with his gun) must save the day in the madcap adventure.

This book is quite silly without being stupid. Price manages to keep the “craziness” of his story under control so the humor is not overboard. Hopefully he maintains this balance in the next book. ( )
