3888. The Hybrid Corn Pioneers: A Brief History of the Men Who Made Shelby County the Hybrid Seed Corn Capital of Iowa from the 1920s through the 1960s, by Steve Kenkel (read 11 May 2004) The importance of this little book is that Dave Gaul edited and prodiuced it. There is a lot of research into events related to hybrid seed corn production in Shelby County, Iowa, which would have been lost in the mists of time but for this book. Well-edited and a credit to its author and editor-producer. ( )
