Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi by Deborah Chow The long-awaited return of Ewan McGregor to the Star Wars universe has come at last with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Set ten years after Revenge of the Sith, the series finds Obi-Wan as a beaten and battered man, broken due to his apprentice Anakin Skywalker's betrayal and supposed death. Whenever Anakin's daughter, Leia -- now the adopted daughter of Bail Organa of Alderaan -- is captured by Imperial Inquisitors, Obi-Wan reenters the fray one last time to rescue her, while also keeping an eye over her secret twin brother, Luke. The series itself, a six-episode run, is a bit disjointed and feels drawn out, in such a way that it feels like it would've been better suited for a grandiose film as opposed to a streaming series. Regardless, seeing Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen back as Obi-Wan and Anakin is a treat in and of itself, not to mention countless other cameos, references, and exciting moments. The emotion really hammers home the point of the series, as the perfect series finale brings some of the best Star Wars moments to date to viewers. For any issues, Obi-Wan Kenobi's highs outweigh its lows, and it is definitely a must-see for any fans of the franchise. Content Concerns: Sci-fi violence, with blasters and lightsabers aplenty, is the biggest concern, as we see characters shot, stabbed, sliced, and dismembered. In particular, we see a character lose a hand in the first episode and another get bisected in the third. There are also some vague references to drugs in the second episode, but it's not really overtly focused on. A few later episodes also feature the deaths of Jedi younglings in flashbacks to Order 66, with the deaths actually being seen ever so slightly. *June 22, 2022* no reviews | add a review

Evil wizards kidnap a princess to lure out a wizard in hiding.
C+ (Okay).
It seems pretty good compared to The Book of Boba Fett. It's watchable, and even has some moments of entertainment. But it has no reason to exist.
