Escape to Hotel Nantucket for a summer of sunshine, secrets and scandal... Reeling from a bad break-up, Lizbet Keaton is desperately seeking a fresh start. When she's named the new general manager of the Hotel Nantucket, a Gilded Age gem whose glamour has been left to tarnish, she hopes that her local expertise and charismatic staff can transform the hotel's fortunes - and her own. All she needs to do is win over their new billionaire owner from London, Xavier Darling - and the wildly popular Instagram influencer, Shelly Carpenter, who can help put them back on the map. But behind the glossy façade, complete with wellness centre and celebrity chef-run restaurant, a perfect storm is brewing. Hotel Nantucket can't seem to shake off the scandal of 1922, when a tragic fire killed nineteen-year-old chambermaid Grace Hadley - and the guests have complicated pasts of their own. With Grace gleefully haunting the halls, secrets among the staff, and Lizbet's own romantic uncertainty, there's going to be trouble in paradise. . . Deliciously escapist, full of emotion, and with a dash of Roaring Twenties glamour, this is the perfect read from the bestselling 'Queen of the Summer Novel' (People) 'I just LOVE her books, they are such compulsive reads' MARIAN KEYES *** Readers love Elin Hilderbrand's emotional, escapist novels! 'Seductively beautiful - the perfect escapist read' 'Perfect summer reading. The setting is as wonderful as the characters . . . I loved every minute' 'Ever since I discovered Elin's books, her novels have become my summer holiday treat' 'Captivating from beginning to end' 'Funny, sad, emotional and utterly absorbing, I couldn't put it down'… (more)

This book was pure escapism. The author put you right there in Nantucket during the summer season. I found her main characters well developed but you knew things were not as they appeared. Fast easy read. ( )

Fun summer read! Pull up a sand chair, put you feet in the ocean and your nose in this book.

Come visit the new Hotel Nantucket. A cast of characters both in front of and behind the front desk. Throw in a billionaire owner who is pushing for an elusive 5 Star review from a mysterious travel writer. Add drama when a ghost is added to the mix. In Hildebrand’s trademark style, you’ll have romance..both falling apart and newly found, the behind the scene workings of an old hotel newly renovated into a beautiful high-end hotel, with All the drama and pressure that entails. All set on the gorgeous island of Nantucket.

Summer just isn’t summer without a book by this author! ( )

The main character of this novel is neither a person nor a thing but a location. The book includes A sweet story of a group of hotel workers but the star is the island of Nantucket. The author, who is one of my favorites, should be given the key to the island for the fabulous press her book gives the Island.

Nantucket is not just about the one percent who can afford to say on the Island but the history. Read the book for the fantasy but visit the island via the ferry for the history and the beauty that the island. ( )

Lots of fun to read---nothing like a hotel seen behind-the-scenes! Grace...was particularly appealing! ( )

Another enjoyable Elin outing. This time, it's about a Nantucket hotel that's trying to get an elusive five-key rating from an anonymous reviewer.

First words
Nantucket Island is known for its cobblestone streets and red brick sidewalks, cedar-shingled cottages and rose-covered arches, long stretchers of golden beach and refreshing Atlantic breezes—-and it’s also known for residents who adore a juicy piece of gossip (which hot landscaper has been romancing which local real estate mogul’s wife—-that kind of thing).
