You will not learn much of musical interest here - unless you like stories of farting, drunken brawls and dope smoking.

First saw Billy Thorpe Play at a school dance at Sydney Boys high school with Lobby Loyd. Gee saying that really dates me, ;(

Just found the soft cover version. ( )

Mum, your strength and quiet grace have been an inspiration to me all my life, and to all who know and love you. God willing, we'll celebrate your hundredth together ...
I wan to thank the love of my life, my wife Lynn, for her love, support and patience with me for the last twenty-seven years, and especially during my many emotional absences while I've been writing this book ...

Chapter 1 (Welcome to my Nightmare): 'Morpheeno ... Morpheeno ... Si heee heee ... Moorpheeennno!' The words echoed off the moon and spun in patterns that traced the edges of a thousand spiders' webs.
Quotations
What makes the cicle even smaller is that the Bee Gees, Barry, Maurice and Robin, had all grown up in Brisbane in the late '50s at the same time as I had. We'd have been about eleven or twelve years old.
I had been critical with a heart attack and a concussion just seventy-two hours earlier. All the bravado in the world couldn't change the terrifying fact that I'd been dead for sixty seconds ...

Book description
After a big night out in early 1979 literally ending up on the dance floor at New York's 20/20 Club after a sudden urge to do a running leap into the air ... Billy Thorpe badly break's his arm, end's up in hospital, has a heart-attack and is dead for sixty seconds. The book is based on his time in the Bellevue Mental Hospital which had the only available critical-care bed available at the time ... and Billy's memories from the past that came to mind after looking at old photos from an envelope that he had been given the night before.
