Young Halle Hedgehog doesn't want her friend Maddie to think less of her. So when Maddie makes fun of her friend Freya, Halle goes along with it. When she gets caught being mean to Freya too, she is taught valuable lessons by her teacher and parents. She learns about standing up for what's right, even if that means she doesn't completely fit in. Halle learns about trying to please Jesus in how we interact with our friends.

This installment in the Good News for Little Hearts series is absolutely precious. It is beautifully illustrated and written. Paul David Tripp and Joe Hox write a convincing story that will eventually happen to every child. Peer pressure and bullying are very real problems that we all face. When presented with these issues, parents and caretakers should be prepared to give their young ones biblical answers that glorify our great God. This series comes with perforated cards with the scripture used in the story to be kept in your child's back-pocket. Several tips are listed for adults to handle their child's peer pressure at the end, too. This is a wonderful resource for ages 5 and up. ( )
