As ridiculous as the stories from the 1950's and '60's often were, I greatly enjoyed those early Legion stories, about a club of super-powered youths from 1000 years in the future who journeyed back in time to invite Superboy to join. Most of these stories are debuts of one member or another. I think my favorite story was the one that introduced Mon-El. As artless as these stories were in every way, I still hold for them a certain nostalgic affection, and I look forward to subsequent collections in the series. Interestingly, "Superman" creator Jerry Siegel is credited with writing several of these stories. ( ) no reviews | add a review
