This is a sweet story that lets kids know that the all the courage they need is within themselves. The book has nice colored pages that catch the eyes of little ones.

This was a good solid book. The story is written well and the pictures are very cute and fitting. This just isn't for the preschool aged children. It is too long and wordy to keep the attention of a preschooler as well as it has too many big adjectives that they really don't know yet. The moral of the story is a little too deep for 3-5 year old children. I think this book would be better for 6-8 year old children instead and I would recommend it to that group for sure.

Little Tim and the Magic Apples, by Hillie Jeffrey and illustrated by Nathalie Kranich, is a beautifully illustrated book for children that will help teach them about believing in the power they have inside of themselves to be kind and strong.

I enjoyed reading this story to my little ones. The main characters are a little boy, Tim, who didn’t feel big and strong enough, and an apple tree who produced magic apples to help him see the magic he had inside himself. I especially enjoyed the beautiful pictures and the humor the talking tree adds to the story. The message is nice to help a young child to find the strength they have to be confident in themselves.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review. ( )

I really liked this book and it is a great message. The illustrations are good and I think it would be fairly easy to read for say a 6 year old. After reading it myself I gave it to a friend who is a childcare practitioner in a nursery for 2 - 4 year olds and unfortunately I think that age group was a bit young and apparently they didn't engage with it. I would suggest 5 + or if younger then best snuggled up one-to-one with an adult. I liked the way some words had different colours and the overall look of the words and pictures together. Every child having magic inside them is a great theme and a very important message. ( )

Thank you Hillie Jeffery and LibraryThing for this lovely book! My son really enjoyed it, and I absolutely loved the message. The illustrations are sweet, the story is engaging for children, and the take-home message of the power of believing in yourself all make this a great children's book :) ( )
