There is not really a plot or anything, but this is a great book for younger children to practice reading and reading out loud. I would give this to kindergarten age students to use as one of their first books that they can try to read by themselves. I remember reading this book when younger--though in my mind it was a "Dr. Seuss Book" so as an adult I couldn't find it. What I most remember about the book is that one of the illustrations had a dog with a hat that reminded me of my grandfather. I rediscovered this book when my nephew was younger and I read it to him--at which point I realized it was not a "Dr. Seuss Book" but was written by P. D. Eastman.
