the third and final book in the series was a tad bit longer than it needed to be. that said, i enjoyed the conclusion to this victorian romantic fantasy. bray is a gifted and imaginative storyteller, and has constructed a world i often wished was real. i wouldn't mind escaping to the realms once in a while and play with the mystical and undead. (the true horror was the spence academy and london of young ladies of certain breeding) ( )

One of the very best YA books I've ever read. Not just for young people, this trilogy is filled with magnificent women and heart-swelling moments. I loved it. Libba Bray is a genius. ( )

Excelente final, si es que pueden controlar el impulso de tirar el libro por la ventana ( )

Finally done!! I thought it was too long by about half, and the ending was kind of unsatisfying. The first book was the best. ( )

A bittersweet, but satisfying end to the trilogy.

There is a strong parallel between drugs/drug abuse and the magic that Gemma possesses. There are other themes explored, like self empowerment and self determination. Overall, it shows that you should question things and not just blindly follow because that's how it's always been done. ( )
