Revenge Honeymoon was a cute rom com where two best friends decide to go on a honeymoon cruise together after one of them is dumped at the altar. Ruby and Emily have to pretend to be a married couple even though the cruise director allowed them to be on the cruise without them being on an actual honeymoon. Of course, Emily gets a huge crush on Max, the cruise photographer. Emily will do anything to help her jilted friend feel better, and she gets into some silly predicaments as she navigates their situation. I thought this was cute, but I just wanted a little more. It was definitely too insta-love for my taste. I would have been better with it if Max and Emily would not have actually used the L word before the end of the cruise. I would have been fine with them leaving the cruise with plans to date in the real world and then seeing them in an epilogue with a solid HEA. The writing had an easy flow to it, and I will definitely try another K.J. Gillenwater book in the future. ( )
