Fourteenth novel in the series, a LOT of shorts, and Ms. Taylor can still keep up the intensity (and delightful humor). The last quarter of this was .. wow. I had things to do and yet was stealing moments here and there to turn the proverbial (electronic) page every chance I got. I’ve been trying to convince one son to give these an go and now I’m seriously thinking of going back to the beginning and running them again back to back. Nuances and all. ( ) Spending more time with Max and Markam, good. All the Insight chapters, bad. Booknaping in the Boxer rebellion, ancient Egypt tomb robberies and late 19th century London with forays back to ancient times with old co-workers, history. This one had its ups and downs for sure and it seems that Max must have barely missed overrunning herself in between the time at the Home Farm and era of the Time Police while on her first encounter with the home base of the kidnapping time pod. no reviews | add a review
