"If widowed seamstress Nell Armstrong has to make one more pair of boring chaps for the cowboys in her tiny Wyoming town, she might just quit the business altogether! So meeting Brand Nolte, a widower struggling to raise three girls on his own, seems like her dream come true. Brand has no idea how to dress the girls properly, and Nell finally has a chance to create beautiful outfits while also teaching the girls to sew. But Nell is much more than a seamstress, and the investigative skills and knowledge she picked up alongside her late lawman husband soon become critical when a wounded stagecoach-robbery survivor is brought to town. Another fantastic book by Mary Connealy! The story is riveting! There's intrigue, murder, drama, and sweet love stories!

Nell is amazing! She's strong, determined, self-sufficient, and caring! She's also knowledgeable and not afraid of difficult circumstances. Brand is hunkalicious! He's a wonderful single father who loves his daughters very much!

The intrigue and mystery kept me in suspense. I couldn't believe who the perpetrators were. There are animal attacks and an old fashioned shoot out!

This is a definite must read! I love Mary's books, and I look forward to reading more of them! ( )

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
The Laws of Attraction—fun, fast-paced, and love is the most fundamental law of all. I love this quote and thought it proper to start this review. Though it was a delight to read about the three young ladies, it was horrible about the stage coach robbing. And Nell is excited about the new dresses she gets to sew, anything to get away from sewing the boring chaps. And their dad, the widower, named Brand was having issues, and if she can just convince him to let her make dresses for his girls, more new and up to date dresses.

Another happening in this book is the woman’s rights issues. Women were on board with this issue and it was fun sitting in on their conversations. I would have loved this era and issues like one being talked about and discussed.

All in all I really enjoyed this fabulous story. There’s a lot of things going on, and I loved this. It keeps me in the book more. I loved the characters, including the ones we already know from the first book. I enjoyed the setting and it’s surroundings, I think this, and the vivid detains throughout is what makes this book so awesome. I also like the knowledge of women’s rights and what I learned from this book. I’m giving The Laws of Attraction Five Stars.

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255. ( )

This is book two in the Wyoming Sunrise series but I read it fine as a stand-alone. I would still love to read book one as this was so compelling and entertaining. You can always count on this author for a great read. I loved everything from the descriptive words, the writing style, the characters, the suspense, the humor, to the inspiration. It is an all around good choice. Nell was a complex character from her strength to face every situation head on to her tender side that saw a need in three young girls and met it no matter what. Brand was a struggling widower trying to be the best father he knew how. Add in the Deadeye Gang and their menacing ways and your are in for an adventure. I loved the sense of community and how they cared for each other. It made me want to move to Pine Valley Wyoming and stay for a bit. I recommend moving this to your immediate TBR pile.
I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required ( )

The Laws of Attraction is the second book in the Wyoming Sunrise series by Mary Connealy. This story takes place in Pine Valley, Wyoming in the 1870’s and focuses on three women who own their own businesses in the area. This one highlights Nell and Brandt, both of whom have lost their spouses. I enjoyed this story very much. The author does a wonderful job of background information. I enjoy how strong the female characters are and how understanding the men in their lives are about their needs. I enjoyed reading how positive the community members feel about Nell and their offer to her for a prominent position in town. I especially enjoyed the growing relationship Nell has with Brandt and his daughter, how generous she is to help the girls learn skills he’s not able to teach them. This story is filled with friendships, relationships, mystery and suspense.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review. ( )

Welcome to the Wild West where stage coach robbers are mean and are determined to not leave any witnesses. Yes folks during this time period it was down right dangerous to ride a stage coach. The outlaw gangs were hiding in wait to attack the innocent people who traveled by stage coach. I can’t imagine how scary it would be to see an armed person approaching and you were trapped with no way to escape. The author paints a great picture of how it was in Wyoming territory.

We are introduced to Nell who is the local dress shop owner. She is one smart woman who paid close attention to her now deceased husband when he was a lawman. He taught her skills that has become valuable in her survival now. I did find it a little funny that her skills were being used to make chaps instead of pretty clothes for women. It has made her money doing this but she so wants to use her skills for pretty things instead of boring chaps for cowboys who probably don’t see the intricate skills she has.

Brand is a hardworking man who is now raising his three daughters alone after the death of his wife. He feels inadequate to see to their needs at times which you can tell make him feel like he is failing his girls. The introduction to Nell shines a light on how much he needs to learn about raising girls. Her selfless act to make dresses for them in exchange for their work at her shop gives him hope. Oh my I could feel how excited those sweet girls felt when they found out they were getting a new dress.

I was impressed by the skills Nell uses to help figure out who is behind the stage coach robberies. She becomes very important as she is able to identify certain things that others may have overlooked. One man who has survived the attack is hidden away in town with townspeople watching him around the clock. Is it possible that one of them is a part of the gang? The tension is high as the town tries to figure out who in their town is behind the killings. I liked how many came together to stand guard and protect each other. Community was very important in these troubled times and now they must stand together to rid their town of these dangerous men.

I loved how the author gives Nell a prestigious job of Justice of the Peace. What an honor it was to be appointed as the second justice of the peace in America. She has a big responsibility presiding over court, signing subpoenas and other duties that involve the law.

There is plenty of action in the story as the town gets together to hunt down the men who have been causing havoc and taking innocent lives. The author gives us a few surprises along the way which I loved. Be sure and grab a copy of this book that will give you a look at the Wild West and how a town comes together to help each other out.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion. ( )
