We're fated mates with a love so strong that I refuse to let death keep us apart. When my mate Kiva died, I bargained away everything to a mysterious supernatural. She brought my mate back to life with a curse that would forbid her to remember me, to remember us. The spell can only be broken by true love's kiss. Not the easiest task when it took me seven proposals to convince my fated mate to say yes the first time. Two years later, I find her living as the mortal daughter of the mythological Furies. An amnesiac, Kiva doesn't remember me, my bear shifter clan, or how she died, but I'm here to remind her no matter what it takes. Except someone in Syn City is out to end her life permanently and steal her away from me forever. No way am I letting that happen. A Steamy Second Chance Romance with a Murder Mystery, a Bear Shifter Determined to Win Back His Lost Love, a Warrior with Amnesia, and Roller Derby… (more)

I must of read this book in the beginning of a book funk spot for me. I just could not get into this book but rated it a 4 because I felt like it was written very well and the world this author created was unique in itself. Beautifully written in an awesome world. ( )

This was an awesome second book in this series and I loved it! The storyline was different and new and also still has the recurring characters and roller derby of Syn City! The amnesia thing made me so emotional but Kiva and Stone have such great chemistry it was a pleasure to read. The villain was much easier to pick out and I also guessed the twist pretty early on. I can’t get over this series, it’s just so good! I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. ( )

'For Whom the Fury Rolls' is book two in Luna Joya's Syn City series.

I didn't read book one as Ms. Joya is quite a new author to me but the world she built is somewhat scary/amazing.
It's our earth but as seen through the somewhat dystopian like aftermath of upheaval after finding out the 'things that go bump in the night' like shapeshifters, gods, furies, witches, and magic users to name a few do exist.

This story is well-written has an enjoyable fun story-line, believable characters you can like and great dialogue.

Ms. Joya did a great job of giving the reader enough back story that I didn't feel as though I couldn't fully enjoy this without reading book one but I intend to go back to get Dottie and Chase's story.

I would recommend this to Paranormal Romance and Fantasy Romance fans.

Thank-you to City Owl Press and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
