One of the best books on design overall, not only for the final products you see on the book like set designs and costumes, you also get immersed in the workflow Eiko followed both in vision and progress. With Francis Ford Coppola's introduction, you instantly jump into Eiko's world even without knowing her before.

Chapters are very clean and organized, visual / text balance is great that doesn't suffocate you like a pretentious slideshow or an overwhelming academic text.

For anyone in creative industries like design, film, theatre, fashion, interior, etc. should have this book not just for random inspiration, bu also for what it means to be a great artist / craftsmen. ( )
