This story, for a change, happens almost entirely on modern earth which remains miraculously undestroyed, and doesn't feature some major characters of the series. The author has attempted to tell a love story this time, in his quirky, crazy style, of course, giving a lot of space for Arthur Dent for the first time. Disappointingly, Marvin makes a very brief appearance, that too towards the end - in more than one way.
Despite Adams's crazily funny language which kept me chuckling all along, this fourth novel of the trilogy doesn't feel to be of the same class as the first two; let's see how the remaining one fares. ( )

Another slightly plotless entry, but the love story contained within is so damn sweet it makes up for any downfalls. And the writing and jokes are, as usual, top notch.

I enjoyed this one. ( )
