Enjoyed reading this second of the trilogy for the same reasons as I enjoyed the first. ( )

Arn Magnuson je napunio 27 godina i već je iskusan veteran među krstašima u Svetoj zemlji. Mnogo toga se dogodilo tokom deset godina otkako je prognan iz Arnesa u Zapadnom Jetalandu zbog zabranjene veze sa svojom voljenom Sesilijom. Sada je gospodar templarskog zamka i zapoveda garnizonom u Gazi sa zadatkom da održava red i mir u okolini.

Za to vreme Sesilija služi svoju kaznu u manastiru Gudhem. Unutar manastirskih zidina vlada stroga opatica Rikisa dok se izvan njih i dalje odvija krvava borba za vlast između rodova Sverkerovaca i Erikovaca. Dok Sesilija svakodnevno izgovara brojne molitve da se dogodi čudo i da joj se Arn vrati, vitez upoznaje neobičnog saracena Jusufa koji mu postaje prijatelj.

Templar predstavlja živopisno putovanje u srce Bliskog istoka u kojem se romansa i surova srednjovekovna istorija prepliću i stvaraju izuzetan, uzbudljiv roman.
