This is a good example of contemporary realistic fiction, since the main character, Stink, is put into realistic situations. Stink is teased and made fun of at school and by his older sister. He over comes obstacles showing that through the toughest struggles you can triumph. Students who struggle to fit in will enjoy Stinks perspective and how he over comes situations.
