This is a good fantasy book because it teaches students that they all have different gifts and talents. It is unique by using insects to show their different talents/characteristics which also helps students to learn about insects. The images also add to the plot and helps engage the students. ( )

In this book Little Miss Spider can't wait for her first day of school. After arriving and trying out many different classes she feels as though she has no talent and school wasn't such a good idea. Just as the day is ending Little Miss Spider saves the day by rescuing another bug. She learns that being kind doesn't take a special talent and it's something she can be good at. ( )
