The wood craftsmanship continues to appeal. I've loved this book since I first saw a friend's copy, new, in 1973. It's just what it's name implies.. people building their own homes, mostly out of found material, mostly in out of the way, hidden places. I have to assume that at least half of these houses were built illegally in National Forests and have long been rooted out and burned down. Mores the pity, because almost every one of these homes is a gem in one way or another.. no two even close to being alike. This is where the Flower Children of Camelot lived. Lots of excellent photography. no reviews | add a review
