I have to admit that in 2021 I find some of it very hard to believe and don't like it as much. And yet it was a favorite when I first read it in 1985 and I must have liked enough over the years to make it a keeper. It's still interesting because it's a very unique romance and the characters are interesting for a series romance, especially for its time period. The rating is based on when I first read it, not this latest reading - 2021. ( ) rabck box from bookstogive 11/09; New Yorker Carol rents a cabin in the Georgia mountans in the teensy town of Rock Ridge, where everyone knows everyone since birth. She's so not Raney's type - all the gals in town are air heads, and this one can lick him at pool and hold her own with the football penalty calls. And that intrigues him a bit. The book shows it age - written in 1985, the characters smoke, drink and drive drunk - no problem and no worries. no reviews | add a review
