This is an insightful book, but definitely should not be the first thing you read about the qabalah. It glosses over some complicated ideas too quickly. Read Dion Fortune's The Mystical Qabalah first. ( )

Halevi tries to apply the tree of life to everything in this lavishly illustrated book. In some areas you want to go, "eh...", however. ( )
