Friendship Summary This book is about an assignment that Franklin's teacher gave his class about sports heroes. Franklin wanted his project to be the best so he decides that he will give himself a nickname to stand out from the crowd. Franklin tried his hardest to persuade his friends to go along with his nickname. He challenges his friends to contests to prove that his nickname fit. Through it all Franklin decides that being himself is best. Personal reflection I enjoyed this book because it shows children that trying to be like others by trying to fit in is not always best. That doing things at your own spend to the best of your abilities is always best. Extensions 1. Assign a class project similar to the book that represents the child's favorite sports hero. 2. Have a day that we would practice some of the children's favorite sports that encourages team work and sportsmanship. 3. Have a fun day that we would dress up like our sports heroes. no reviews | add a review
