The workbook format is wonderful for learning these new techniques. The book is diagramed, with no photography. I think this detracts from the book a little.

The book teaches the freedom of knitting without patterns and designing your own projects. It is a fun exploration of what knitting is like in other parts of our world. I loved learning the Andean method of tensioning their yarn around their necks while knitting and stranding on the purl side of the work. ( )
