Ivy is the housekeeper in her former home when the new owner comes the day after a party. She has yet to clean up and he is not pleased. Hunter accuses her of several offenses but needs her help when he must be temporarily blind. She stays but gives as good as she gets when he gets on her back with his innuendos and accusations.

I enjoyed this book. I read it in one evening. It is dated but still a good read. I liked Ivy and Hunter. Couldn't stand Evelyn and Finlay--both are jerks. I liked the support Ivy and Hunter got when they had to travel to St. Croix. I enjoyed Pete and Zanne.

Dixie Browning has always been one of my favorite authors and this book shows me why. A fun summer read. ( )

Book description
ROUGEMONT WAS HER CHILDHOOD HOME.

Lovely auburn-haired Ivy de Coursey knew that even the sale of her beautiful family estate, Rougemont, could not take away the happy memories the house held for her.

But Ivy had not taken into account the unsettling effect the new owner, Hunter Smith, would leave over her as he arrogantly demanded the use of the house and her services.

Yet, when her employer is temporarily blinded, Ivy feels her heart molt with pity at his plight--even as his caresses make her body flame with desire.
