A very interesting and informative book. Though I have tried none, many of the recipes sound palatable. It is a collection of recipes from America throughout it's history. It also tells of some of the limitations cooks had and how cooking and ingredients have evolved over time. Written in the 60's, it has no modern recipes in it and that is interesting to read what the authors consider "modern." ( )
