A farmer wants the crows to stop eating his corn, so he hides in the shed and plans to jump out and scare them. When he hides it does not work. The farmer decides to add more people each time, but each time the crows outsmart the people. This makes the farmer believe that the crows can count. This is a great story to use with children because they can count the people along with the book. ( ) The concept of the book is amusing, but the layout is confusing. The counting aspect is fun, when he is recruiting people to go to the barn, but when people leave there is no counting backwards related. The illustrations are cute and whimsical, but the story is too cluttered to keep a toddlers attention. I was not overwhelmed. no reviews | add a review
