Always love the story of Anne of Green Gables, so going to mostly comment on the narration. This new Audible Studios production is narrated by the actress Rachel McAdams. She reads the part of Anne brilliantly, but I found her reading of the other characters and general narration to be pretty flat and lacking independent personalities as far as the characters go. I loved this book. As soon as I finished it, I was shocked about how long I lived without it. Anne was EVERYTHING. Sure, she might have been a little annoying in the beginning, and she may have been really spiteful but I adored her. She was just so whimsical, driven and full of passion. She was such an amazing character and I can’t believe I lived so long without her. 10/10 book. I did however ugly cry when Matthew died. He will forever be my favorite character. ( )
