I purchased this book at a garage sale for $.50 back around 1992 when I was about 28 years old. This is when I learned how to sew, and this book taught me absolutely everything I needed to know. I actually still use it from time to time when I have to redo my reading chair seat cover. ( ) I love this guide! I'm a novice sewer who *just* got a machine. This book helped me to learn the basics of garment construction and some very useful hand-stitches for the heady days when I didn't have my machine. I know I will keep going back to this time and again as I continue to learn this craft. no reviews | add a review
