FUSSY... Very Fussy.... and not easy to work from. There are more than one recipe per page sometimes 3 or 4, which means the fonts are small and the recipes are cramped together and difficult to read.... Many of the photographs are small and are 4-6 on a page w/ colored blanks & tidbits of information. Some pages have just one photograph... So they layout leaves so-very-much to be desired.

Contents include: Celebrating Spring; Pink Peony Dinner Party; Hors D'Oeuvres in the Garden; A Small but Special Baby Shower; Spicy Thai Lunch; Louisiana Seafood Feast; North Carolina Barbeque; Carbs and Corn on the Beach; Tuscan Buffet Outdoors; The Best Clambake; Surprisingly Simple Chinese; "Fried Green Tomatoes" Brunch; Midsummer Fiesta; Pasta for show more a Crowd; Halloween's Ghoulish Pleasures; Thanksgiving at Turkey Hill; Holiday Dessert Buffet; A Birthday Dinner of Gifts; New Traditions for Christmas; Come for Champagne and Caviar; & Index

Recipes include: Codfish w/ fava bean puree
Sauteed cabbage w/ a chiffonade of basil
Brown sugar angel food cake
Endive & roasted beet salad w/ rice wine vinaigrette
Roasted salmon
Iced lemon mousse tart
Zucchini rounds w/ gorgonzola
Gravlax on herbed toast
Tuna tartare on potato chips
Cold pink borscht
Coconut ice cream
Grilled soft-shelled crabs
Curried fruit salad
Hushpuppies
Orange-Lime margaritas (these I like)
Spicy blue crab boil
Summer wine poached fruits
Lobsters steamed over seaweed
Spicy salt-rubbed chicken
Rice w/ Chinese sausage & smoked pork
Rice soup w/ coriander leaves
Grilled quesadillas
Salsa cruda
Grilled roasted marinated antipasto

I guess you get the idea...... I knocked this down because of the run together recipes & basic format.....

I admit it. I do like Martha. She does provide some interesting if somewhat complicated recipes. They may not come out as perfect as hers, but they can still be a good thing.
