Gary organizes and presents his topic very well. I pulled a number of gems from his writing. This is an easy to read book. There are a number of homework exercises which I have adapted from this book. ( )

TL;DR: Good, if basic, rules for communication. Definitely aimed at straight, Christian married people. I got some decent information, but felt that my communication skills were a little more than planned on for the intended audience. ( )

One of the best books I've read on communication and marriage. It helped me learn the way to speak to my husband with words that will be heard and understood and how to not hurt people with what I say. It also helped me understand how to LISTEN to him. Worth reading. ( )
