Heartwarming story of true Christianity in action. Fr. Flanagan believed there was no such thing as a "bad" boy. There were only troubled boys who needed help and he did not give up on them, even when society and the courts did. He did not succeed in rehabilitating all of them, but salvaged many lives. Absolutely non-fiction. ( )

Given to me as a gift after a tour. A well-written straightforward biography of a truly gentle and courageous man. ( )
