This book is informational because it tells the life of Oprah Winfrey so far. There are real photographs on every page for the art and they are in color. The contents scans the life of Oprah as she has been on television, been a movie star, started a magazine and started a company. In 1998, she was even named one of the most important people in the last 100 years. The reading level is third or fourth grade because some of the words are challenging. The curricular connections relate to famous and influential people, which could also relate to history. Although she is still living, Oprah has made a big difference in the world today. ( )
