This book provides a general overview of the Spanish-American War followed by a select bibliography of printed works. The bibliography contains general works, as well as works focusing on Cuban insurrection and relations with Spain, the U.S.S. Maine, the voyage of the U.S.S. Oregon, opposing fleets, blacks in the Navy, diplomatic relations, intelligence, marines, medicine, naval leaders and enlisted personnel, and the press (journalists, photographers, and artists). Works are also listed covering operations in both the Pacific Theater and the Atlantic and Caribbean Theater, as are works of poetry and music about the Spanish-American War.
