This was interesting as it put some more flesh on the fall out with Graves that I had been curious about, and also covered his later years. He never got over the war, was angry about it for the rest of his life, and all his best work poetry and prose, is connected with it. He doesn't seem to have been a particularly happy man in later life. ( ) no reviews | add a review
An essentially private person, Siegfried Sassoon's work nevertheless constitutes a chorus of self-revelation. John Stuart Roberts has written the first full length biography of this complex man. No library descriptions found. |
