Ce roman, le second de l'auteur après le prometteur La cabane de l'aiguilleur, est un peu moins bon que son prédécesseur. Les personnages y sont aussi bien peints mais les troubles qui les gagnent nous semblent un peu étrangers. On a un peu l'impression de voir une nouvelle qui aurait été allongée pour devenir un roman. Dommage car certaines idées à peine effleurées auraient gagnées à être développées, comme par exemple le fait qu'une civilisation extra-terrestre emmagasine tout son savoir au sein de pierres enfouies dans notre sol. ( )

Un travail et une réflexion sur la mémoire, subie, voulue, recherchée. Presque un conte, mais donc d'une dimension moindre que Darwinia. ( )
