Não é uma tradução ortodoxa, mas nos leva a repensar algumas passagens e ver os eventos sobre um novo ângulo. Para estudo e compreensão, sempre deve ser lido com um olhar crítico e em conjunto com outras traduções. ( )

Another version of the bible but in regular, plain language. Peterson did a good job I think. It translates well and makes things an easy read for those who aren't used to other versions or hate the King James. ( )

The Bible is many-layered, with treasure at each level. I like the freshness of this translation. ( )

This is the audiobook version of THE MESSAGE, a Bible in contemporary American language. It is the best way to understand the Bible for Americans. It is exciting book to listen to or read. If the King James Version of the Bible no longer attracts a person, THE MESSAGE will re-awaken your interest in God's Holy Word.

Personally, I do not feel that this Bible is a paraphrase any more than the KJV is a paraphrase. Unless you can read the actual Greek or Hebrew languages, as I understand Eugene Peterson does every day, you will always be reading a paraphrase of the Bible in the language of the day it was translated. Therefore, to me, this is a Bible translation that I can trust and that I can understand. ( )

    Book description
The Message is a contemporary rendering of the Bible from the original languages, crafted to present its tone, rhythm, events, and ideas in everyday language.
Those familiar with any part of the Bible will recognize John 3:16, but find a mind-altering difference. The words are fresh, new, and sound like the 21st century. That's because it is from The Message, a presentation of the Word of God crafted for a modern age. Unlike other audio Bibles, The Message was fashioned by Eugene Peterson to be read aloud, not as a study Bible. Read by Kelly Ryan Dolan and Carol Nix. 75 hours, 5 MP3 CDS - each chapter is its own track.
