INTRODUCTION
I first crossed the border from Maine into New Brunswick on June 6, 1957 -- a sunny Thursday morning -- and I have been crossing it regularly ever since at all times of the year and in all kinds of weather, which make this anthology (since all but one of the songs in it I collected myself) the fruit of a thirty-year harvest.
