Well, it is a piece of revisionist history. I have to admit, I have a sick fascination with Vanilla Ice, ever since I made a website devoted to him in 1994 and it garnered as many as 10 e-mails a day saying that I was either a saint or that I deserved to die. Vanilla Ice is one of the most polarizing forces of our time. In this account of his life, he lays out how he grew up on the mean streets of Miami until he was later transplanted for a brief time in Dallas, TX. He spoke of his rise to fame, how much he loves Super Mario Brothers, and how he was the one who started the fashion trend of cutting off one leg of his jeans. This is all, of course, a lie. This is the fictional life of a media icon written in the language that a 16 year old would identify with. For that, it is a lot of fun. If you see it in the 25ยข bin at the thrift store, pick it up. I think you will find a special place on your bookshelf and in your heart for it. Or, you might just discard it. no reviews | add a review
