I really enjoyed the first novel of the Corie McKenna PI Mystery Series. Mystery and Detective novels are a favorite choice and I looked forward to the new approach of a female private investigator working in association with law offices as many seem to be associated with insurance companies. Also to stir up the characterization a little out of the ordinary, investigator Corie McKenna is a young widow, pet-lover, a great mentor to a neighbor's child, AND loves to write lyrics. Above every chapter heading, there is a 4-line lyric offering that also captures the ongoing storyline.

I can't wait to continue reading this series. So delighted that "Final Cut" (Corie McKenna Mystery, 2) is available. It's definitely on my "wish-to-read" list. ( )
