Een prima voorleesboek. Het gaat over 22 kinderen in een weeshuis die altijd doen wat ze willen. Dat is dan ook vaak gevaarlijk. Dan komt er een inspectrice die vind dat ze alles juist voorzichtig moeten doen. Ze gebruikte steeds als argument dat kinderen geen olifanten zijn en alleen olifanten gevaarlijke dingen mogen doen. Als ineens de kinderen verdwenen zijn en een olifant verschijnt leert de inspectrice hoe leuk het eigenlijk is om te spelen tijdens de zoektocht naar de kinderen. Na het vinden van de kinderen veranderen er dan ook dingen in het weeshuis en de kinderen mogen weer gewoon spelen.
