As the name sugests; this book focuses on how to develp ideas for producing your own artwork.
The book takes you through the creative process from an initial idea through to the final piece, looking at the various materials and techniques and how they can be applied to give different moods. Examples of the same piece produced in different ways are shown. Composition and materials are discussed, but the main point of the book is how you get inspiration and what to do with it.

The book is full colour throught. Like I mentioned above, it is a different approach to most art books so it fills a gap in my collection that I didn't even think I had.
Reminds me of being back in art school again.
Its a nice book that I picked up recently on a whim, as it was unlike any other art book I own, and an inspiration in itself. ( )
