The Patsy R. and Raymond D. Nasher Collection spans more than a century of sculpture, from the pioneering late-19th-century work of Gauguin, Rodin and Rosso to contemporary artists such as Magdalena Abakanowicz, Tony Cragg, Claes Oldenburg and Richard Serra. Surveying many of the most important sculptural developments of the past century, this volume illustrates 136 works by 58 artists which were selected from the Nasher Collection for an exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum, San Francisco, and the Guggenheim Museum, New York.
