The collection of Beatrix Potter's nursery rhymes, poems, and riddles.

---

In my opinion, Beatrix Potter's nursery rhymes are essential for children just learning to read. Although they contain some language that children today may not know, the riddles and poems are a great way to expose children to the world of poetry from an early age.

The enchanting illustrations draw readers in while they play with the rhymes of each riddle and poem.

A beautifully presented collection of the rhymes found in the Beatrix Potter books. The new reproductions of het illustrations are beautiful especially in the large format of this book. ( )

The rhymes are all about small animals and are in nursery rhyme style. They have an old fashioned sound to them and would probably be more interesting for children if they are read aloud. The pictures are artistic and detailed and will hold a child's attention. ( )

The appropriate age group for this book would be 0-4, they have a lot of new nursery rhymes that aren't your normal ones you hear every day. This book has new nursery rhymes like The Little Black Rabbit, We have a little garden and ninny nanny netticoat, but they also have old traditional ones like Three blind mice and the old woman who lived in a shoe. Uses in the classroom for this book would be to read it aloud to the class and each day have them pick what one they would like to hear and they could possibly draw a picture that they think goes along with the rhyme.
