This book was written by an avid admirer of George H. Thomas. Frank A. Palumbo is an architect and engineer that has a particular interest in George H. Thomas. His greatest contribution is his collection of memorabilia of George H. Thomas which currently resides at Carthage College in Kenosha WI. The author uses the Civil War reports of George H. Thomas to compose most of the book. He supplements this with his own commentary but this is very limited. The book is a great reference source on GHT but makes for a very dry read. ( )
