Genre: Folklore
Age: Primary
Review: This was a story of Cinderella, who lives with her evil step mother and 2 step sisters. They go to a ball, but don't let Cinderella go. Cinderella has a fairy Godmother, who gets her ready for the ball. Cinderella meets the prince but has to leave at midnight. The prince searches for Cinderella with her glass slipper, finds her, and they live happily ever after. This is a folklore because the story of Cinderella was passed down with word of mouth. The story was originally about a maid who married an Egyptian king.
Comment on use: This could be used to discuss folklores, or how stories have different versions.
