Caruthers published a compilation of stories that spotlighted the bravery, sacrifices, and viciousness that were a part of life for North Carolinians during the Revolutionary War. The original has been long out of print, but this newly illustrated edition tells the stories of the men and women who paid for American liberty with their blood and sacrifice.
