The pop-ups are not that good. Tells part of the story of the original Dinotopia book. While I enjoy some pop-ups this one wasn't really worth the trouble. ( )

Dinotopia tells the story of a family that is shipwrecked on an island where dinosaurs and humans live together in peace. The pop-up version has the beautifully detailed illustrations of the book animated by pop-up scenes. The pop-ups are very detailed. There are also pull-tab interactive pictures as well. It is a fascinating book and can be a good introduction to the longer version. ( )

Not as good as some popup books I've seen, but Gurney's illustrations more than make up for it! ( )
