This is something of a lost masterpiece - the idea is that several green mice are let loose in a hotel and the book tells the story of how they're caught again. But it's a hell of a lot more than that: every room in the hotel is seen in cross section over a variety of pages and the joy (and it really is joy!) is to follow the events of each and every one of those rooms as you read the book. Not only is this a beautifully drawn, but it's a joyous and gorgeously designed book with so much wit to it... I'd have killed to have had something like this as a child. A classic. ( )
