A kid, annoyed that his mama hardly seems to have time for him, decides to build a robot mama who is perpetually available. Shades of The Stepford Wives! But this child discovers that a robot mama isn't quite as cuddly as the real thing, and decides that he'll put up with his own mama, despite her busy worklife. [return][return]I liked this book -- I liked that it captured children's frustrations with busy parents, and that it did so sympathetically to all parties. ( )
